Symbolic pictures+some extra drawings

MY GOOOD I'm so happy to get rid of these, FINALLY lmao..Sadly i'm so tired of these ones that I don't even feel like explaining anything about them but oh well..they really make no sense without explanation.

And I knew taking photos of real paintings is always a bad idea (especially since our digicam sucks) but I hope these ones give you even some kind of picture

I posted a skecth for this one three posts ago if I remember right. It should explain the idea of the picture rather well..I'll just copypaste the text here:

At first, I wanted to paint a city on the BG. Instead, I made the buildings look like humans. In the same time, they represent the humanity and society..and how society sometimes turns its back on those who need help(intentionally or not). Also, the apple is the boy's only property and it also keeps him alive(= food). The strings that tie the apple somehow also signify that in the end, he doesn't really own it anyway...
and yes, I glued those threads and petals on it

umm. This one is just a practice painting, to test the colors etc

I'll probably dump this to my DA at some point, but it's part of the series so I might as well post it here, too..Anyway, in this one, the boy from the first picture has grown up, and has also succeeded in life (= neat white suit). However, he wants some kind of revenge on society now, because as a child, the people abandoned him and didn't share from their own so why should he? The roots of the tree go under the society ("the root of all evil") and nothing grows on the tree because the roots are soiled.

Somehow, I'm not overly fond of this one..I sorta think that the design on the BG takes too much attention away from the main thing..but but, this is the final picture of the series, and it's a rather positive one whereas the others are rather pessimistic. This one shows how people are really not black and white (haha, even tho the drawing is..), meaning they might be good for others, bad for some. Notice also the flowers..it's like when you are good for people, also the tree blooms..and this time, the thread is not there to control or possess. So perhaps this one is like an another beginning too: the child who gets the apple in the picture, will surely grow to be different than the man who got nothing as a child.

and now something else..

My character Birra having a cup o' tea. Again. It's not very polished because oekaki seems to dislike me sometimes..

It's pretty boring so I probably won't post this anywhere else..

I wanted to draw something sad! I was listening to the Mononoke OST and some of the music is so so sad..(I need to draw Kusuriuri fanart sometime, too. I love that anime! <3)Original characters again. I sure love to torture them..

i always forget how beautiful your work is, so when you post, its an absolute treat..
i can't say how much i like all of these, the series about the world is amazing, and all of them are equally so.. the way you draw faces, hands, lips, eyes.. everything is just very.. i'm not sure. its all very much an interesting and lovely thing. i'm fond of Birra, too. that picture is so warm. its very comforting.
i really, really enjoy seeing your work.

Thank you so much again! Your words are really warming n__n My attitude towards my own work is a bit sceptical, so it's always a pleasure to hear that someone truly likes it, too. It makes me feel that my work is worth more than I think myself it to be.

well I said it before but I still totally adore the symbolism and "building people." and I'm also pleased at the different pose of the head in the sequel, it didn't even really look like done by you, since you do tend to recycle the same poses over and over again. XD; So that's refreshing! Totally gorgeous details too. Does the key signify anything?

and hot diggity I ADORE the purple one *___*

Thank you! Haha, I guess it's always a compliment when someone says that my drawing doesn't look like it's drawn by me.
Hum, the key..well, mostly it's a visual choice, but as usual, keys kind of remind people of locks and such..like there is something you need to 'open'. In this case, I had the idea that the key means power and control as much as the white, fine suit.

I also had something else in my mind about the key, but it feels a bit difficult to express XD;; But oh well, that's why we have art..
